The Voice South Africa is a South African reality singing competition, in which the four superstar judges also coach the contestants, with the winner receiving a recording deal plus cash.
The Voice SA is well known for its iconic swiveling red chairs and esteemed coaches who mentor their talent.
There have been three popular seasons in The Voice South Africa on M-Net 101 and a fourth season is now in the making.
The winner is determined by television viewers voting by telephone, internet, and SMS text.
The winner of the new season gets a recording contract with the Universal Music South Africa, a brand-new Huawei P30 Pro, a brand-new Toyota RAV4 and R100,000 worth shopping voucher.
Past winners like Richard Stirton and Craig Lucas have both carved out successful musical careers, while many of the finalists also nabbed recording contracts and even SAMA nominations.

The new season will be hosted by Anele Mdoda and features Riana Nel, Lira, Francois van Coke as judges.
The Voice South Africa Registration and Start Date
The registration is yet to begin this year.
However, here are the eligibility requirements to audition online.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa and in possession of a valid ID document.
- You may not have an existing recording or management deal that hinders you from fully taking part in the competition.
- Have an active mobile phone number and email address to receive messages for your audition.
- You do not need management, merchandising, recording, or music publishing contracts for you to take part in the program.
- Record and upload a video of you singing.
- Allows for solo singers and duos. Show is open for different genres of music like blues, pop, rock, opera, indie, folk, or cabaret.
- If you are selected as a participant, travel to and live at one or more undisclosed locations in SA for several weeks. Economy travels to be paid for by the producer.
- You may not take part in the program if your participation would create impropriety or the appearance of impropriety.
Here are the steps to apply for The Voice South Africa audition:
- Visit the official site.
- Read all the terms and conditions of the show carefully.
- Fill the online form with your correct details such as name, date of birth, address, contact details, occupation and qualification details, recent color photograph.
- Upload your short 2-3 minutes song video on the website.
- Select a song that showcases your voice. Don’t feel that you need to impress with your song choice – we are only here to listen to your voice.
- Don’t upload live videos from venues in front of audiences, music videos, acapella harmonized videos, produced singles or tracks.
- Relax after submission. If your form gets selected, the official teams will contact you for the next process.
The Voice South Africa Season 4 is expected to premiere in October 2025.
The Voice SA will be screened only on M-Net Channel 101 on DStv.
The online audition form for Season 4 is not yet out.
The audition is FREE.
Applicants will pay all expenses relating to the auditions, including without limitation travel, subsistence, and accommodation.
Before you apply, meet the stipulated qualifications for entering the competition and fill in the online entry form, which is available on the M-Net website.
Be a legal South African citizen or have a valid permit or permanent residence status in the country of South Africa.
IDs, driver’s licenses and passports will be accepted.
