Survivor South Africa is the South African version of the global reality TV show franchise Survivor.
Survivor SA is set to return for its 10th season.
M-Net is looking for players who are fans of the local and international series and have what it takes not only to survive harsh conditions on a remote island, but who are also ready to create fireworks in their tribes, and win the game with their unique, strategic game play.
The show features contestants stranded in remote locations, competing in challenges and forming alliances as they try to outwit, outplay, and outlast each other to earn rewards, immunity from elimination, the title of Sole Survivor, and a grand cash prize.
Contestants will be progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted off by their fellow contestants until only one remains and is given the title “Ultimate Survivor”.
After the tremendous success of the last season, a new season is ready to come up soon.
The winner of Survivor South Africa Season 10 will be awarded the grand prize of R1 Million.

Expect to see Nico Panagio serving as a host of Survivor South Africa.
In Survivor SA, the players are split into two or three tribes, are taken to a remote isolated location and are forced to live off the land with meagre supplies for a period of several weeks.
Frequent physical and mental challenges are used to pit the tribes against each other for rewards, such as food or luxuries, or for immunity, forcing the other tribe to attend Tribal Council, where they must vote one of their tribe mates out of the game by secret ballot.
About halfway through the game, the tribes are merged into a single tribe, and challenges are individually; winning immunity prevents that player from being voted out.
Most players that are voted out during this stage become members of the Tribal Council Jury.
When only two or three players remain, the Final Tribal Council is held.
The finalists plead their case to the Jury why they should win the game.
The jurors then interrogate the finalists before casting their vote, for which finalists should be awarded the title of “Ultimate Survivor” and win the grand prize of R1 Million.
Survivor South Africa Registration and Start Date
The registration is yet to begin this year.
However, here are the eligibility requirements to audition online.
- Contestants must be 18 years old or older.
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa and in possession of a valid ID document.
- Have the personality and the determination to remain standing in the harshest of circumstances.
- Have an active mobile phone number and email address to receive messages for the audition.
- Complete all documents provided by the producer, any of the other program entities, or any other entity providing services to the program.
- If you are short-listed, consent must be given to the producers to conduct background, criminal and psychometric checks.
- If the producers shortlisted you, be prepared to undergo psychological and medical screenings.
These are the steps to apply and audition for Survivor South Africa:
- Make a video.
- Save the current self-picture and video for your computer, so it is ready when you apply online.
- Visit the official site.
- Read the terms and conditions carefully.
- Fill out the online application on M-Net TV and upload your video and picture.
- You’ll be contacted by phone or email.
Survivor South Africa audition will be held in these cities:
- Cape Town
- Pretoria
- Durban
- Johannesburg

With four episodes a week, Survivor SA is expected to start in July 2025.
Survivor South Africa Season 10 will premiere on M-Net (18:00, Monday to Thursday).
The online entry process will require the completion of a personal profile, a few brief questions, and a video.
The video should feature you authentically.
Play to your strengths, have some fun, and bowl us over with your on-screen presence and your game plan.
You need to tell the producers why you would be perfect for Season 10.
Be yourself. Be as creative as you like!
