Big Brother Mzansi (BBMzansi) is a South African reality TV show based on the global Big Brother franchise.

Contestants, known as housemates, live together in a specially designed house, completely isolated from the outside world, while being monitored 24/7 by cameras.

The show first aired in 2001 as Big Brother South Africa and later rebranded to Big Brother Mzansi.

Housemates take part in tasks and challenges while facing periodic evictions based on public votes.

The last remaining contestant wins a cash prize.

Viewers vote to keep their favorite contestants in the game, often through online polls and the DStv app.

Season 5 premiered in January 2025.
