Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10 Housemates Revealed!

BBNaija is organized on the foundation of “reality”. It is a social experiment which aims to put together housemates of/from diverse backgrounds, culture and experiences to live and work together.

Unity in diversity is the major motivation of the show.

Throughout the period of the show, contestants are referred to as “Housemates”.

These housemates are usually picked from a pool of applicants, who show an interest in participating in the show.

The 20 or more housemates are Nigerians selected from the six geo-political zones.

Housemates are allowed and encouraged to live their “normal lives”.

They are free to do anything as long as it doesn’t contravene the house rules.

Housemates must be open-minded adults who expressly accept to abide by all the laws of the house.

Within the duration of the Big Brother Naija show, housemates stay in the house with no sort of contact from the outside world.

They can’t carry any electronic gadgets into the house.

The official language allowed for communication in the house is English and Pidgin.

Using any “coded” means of communication is prohibited, except where necessary.

BIGGIE is the landlord of the house.

Biggie is regarded as omni-present within the house.

He has the ultimate powers to make laws and decide the general daily administration of the house.

He adds unexpected twists to spice up the fun.

When the show producers select you for the next phase of the auditions, you must be ready to avail yourself for a video or physical interview.

BBNaija Housemates Selection

Big Brother Naija housemates are picked by character, education, work experience, personality, and sometimes their online fan base.

This reality show is a kind of experiment and uses these factors to define audience reaction.

From previous seasons, a lot of housemates on the show had careers in:

Big Brother thrives on mystery, intrigue and the element of surprise.

The number of housemates and their identities is never revealed prior to the beginning of the show.

This undoubtedly ensures a keen interest in who these individuals are and what they will bring into the house.

Audiences can, however, know that the housemates were selected after a rigorous screening process to bring to life Africa’s biggest reality TV show.

You do not need any special qualifications to audition this season.

A rulebook is distributed to contestants before the commencement of the show.

General rules will include – no contact with the world outside the house, strictly no violence and an obligation to nominate fellow housemates for eviction.

Housemates are given a rulebook stating exactly what items they can bring into the house.

However, no electronic equipment can be taken into the house.

Big Brother will go through what housemates are taking into the house with them and reserves the right to remove any item/s that has been excluded as per the rulebook.

Housemates should bring two suitcases.

No clothing with prominent logos or labels will be allowed.

No verbal or written communication is allowed with anyone outside the house, unless a housemate has an urgent family crisis, and this is still subject to Big Brother’s discretion.

The well-furnished house is their home for the duration of their stay.

Therefore, housemates are expected to behave as naturally as they would in their own environment

How to Win Big Brother Naija as a Housemate

Your fate on the BBNaija reality TV show is completely up to you.

Your actions and the votes awarded by the audience will decide your fate.

If you’re a terrible actor and you keep acting, you won’t make it past four weeks.

Living a fake life or using a false personality/identity in the house may surely backfire on you.

Just be yourself and people will love you for who you are and vote for you.

Build a social media fanbase early before getting into the house.

Have a powerful personality.

Don’t be boring. While in the house, be active in tasks, discussions, plays.

Try as much as possible to win the heart of the viewers from the first week.
