Big Brother Naija is a reality television show in which a group of contestants, known as “housemates,” live together in a house and are filmed by cameras 24 hours a day.
Each season of BBNaija features a new group of housemates who compete in challenges and are voted on by the public.
The last remaining housemate is declared the winner and receives a cash prize.
The reality TV show is very popular in Nigeria and has generated a lot of controversy because of the behavior of some housemates and the show’s themes of love and romance.
The housemates of the reality television show are not necessarily representative of the Nigerian population.
Viewers can now cast their votes in favor of their favourite to enable them to remain in the house.
Official voting on the show usually starts on the 2nd and 3rd week.
Voting this year is free and is done online only through the Africa Magic website/mobile site, MyDStv app and MyGOtv app.
The number of votes each subscriber has will be determined by their subscription packages, with DStv Premium subscribers receiving the most votes.
Voting will open every Monday night after the nomination show at 8pm (9pm CAT) and will close every Thursday at 9pm (10pm CAT).
You can vote as many times as there is a call to vote on the mobile site, Africa Magic website and the MyDStv and MyGotv apps.
If you are a DStv/GOtv subscriber customer with an eligible package, with the mobile app, you can vote based on your package.
All voting is verified by the Deloitte auditing firm.
