Nigerian Idol Season 10: Registration Date and Deadline
Nigerian Idol returns for Season 10 to unearth some of the best musical talents in the country.
The Idol franchise has over the years produced some of the biggest Nigerian singers such as Timi Dakolo, Mercy Chinwo, and Omawumi who have made a name for themselves in the global music scene.
The reality TV series, which comprises just singing competition, is open for every Nigerian who is between the age of 16 to 30 years of age.
Before the audition begin about 30 eligible Nigerians are selected for the show and are made to compete against each other through their song presentation.
Later on in the show, a voting system is normally introduced to trim down the contestant down.
Only 12 contestants will eventually make it to the final stage, where their progression of fate will be determined by fans through voting using their mobile phone.
There are also a lot of rewarding prizes for the winner of this show including material and cash prize.
Similar to The Voice Nigeria, one can also earn a recording contract with any company like that as one of the major benefits of the show.
The winner of Season 10 will walk home with the grand prize, which includes a cash prize of ₦30 million, a brand-new SUV, a six-track EP recording deal with three music videos included, an all-expense-paid trip to Seychelles, and a weekend getaway to Dubai for two.

Nigerian Idol Season 10 Registration and Start Date
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- Audition is only open to Nigerian citizens.
- Applicants must live in Nigeria. Nigerians living abroad aren’t allowed to take part.
- If you took part in any of the previous seasons, then you may not take part again.
- Participants must be 16 to 30 years of age.
- Have Nigerian International Passport or National Identity Number (NIN).
- Have an active mobile phone number and email address where you can receive messages for the audition.
- Record and upload a 30-second video of you singing any song of your choice online here.
Nigerian Idol Season 10 will premiere on April 20, 2025, on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29.

Online auditions for Nigerian Idol Season 10 will open on January 17, 2025, and close on February 2, 2025, via the Africa Magic website.
The audition is open to Nigerians aged 16 to 30 years.
After online auditions, physical auditions will be held one week later in Ikeja, Lagos.
Before you begin your application, make sure you are at least 16 years old living in Nigeria and have a valid means of identification.

- On the site, in order to continue, click and enter via the registration banner displayed.
- Once you’ve done that, you’ll be redirected to the audition registration form which will be displayed on your screen.
- Fill in your personal details such as your full names, date of birth, Nigerian passport number, mobile phone number, WhatsApp number, email address.
- Click on “NEXT” as soon as you are done entering your bio data. A new page will open where you’ll have to answer some questions.

- Your audition should not be longer than 30 seconds, so choose the part of your song that best shows off your voice.
- You may upload a file up to 100mb. Supported files to upload are: *.mov, *.flv, *.f4v, *.m4v, *.mp4, *.avi, *.mpeg, *.mpg, *.mkv, *.wmv
- No talking, only singing should be in your audition video.
- Perform the song without accompaniment, instruments or a backtrack – remember the Judges are here to listen to your singing only.
- Don’t upload music videos, produced singing or tracks, live performance videos in front of an audience.
- Post your YouTube/Vimeo (unlisted) link or upload your video.
- After that, click on “SUBMIT” to complete and finish your registration.
- Should your audition be successful, you will be invited to audition in person in front of the judges at a specific venue/location.
Make adequate preparation and have the application requirements.
Start training your voice, learn stage management/performance and how to overcome stage fright.
Also, learn and memorize the songs you’ll likely be performing once qualified for the blind auditions.
When memorizing songs, ensure the songs are popular or known by the Judges.
